“That’s good,” she smiled. “Too bad I didn’t get to see that.”
“I’m sure she’ll do it again. Kids like blocks, ya know?”
“Yep!” Maka smiled a little.
“That’s good,” she smiled. “Too bad I didn’t get to see that.”
“I’m sure she’ll do it again. Kids like blocks, ya know?”
“Yep!” Maka smiled a little.
“It’s fine,” She reached over and picked up the baby, settling her in her lap. Anna leaned back against her, chewing happily on the ball.
Soul scratched his stomach as he watched them. “She’s really smart, ya know? She caught onto the block stacking thing quickly.”
“That’s good,” she smiled. “Too bad I didn’t get to see that.”
“Yeah, pretty well. You?”
“Yeah. Sorry she woke you up..”
“It’s fine,” She reached over and picked up the baby, settling her in her lap. Anna leaned back against her, chewing happily on the ball.
“Yeah. You’re right…” Maka frowned. She reached over to neaten Anna’s hair as the baby focused on chewing on the teething ball.
Soul rolled over onto his back, “Did you sleep well though?”
“Yeah, pretty well. You?”
“Plus we don’t spend much time with her together…” Like parents should. Not that Maka is actually her mom but..
“Yeah. You’re right…” Maka frowned. She reached over to neaten Anna’s hair as the baby focused on chewing on the teething ball.
Maka laughed. “Yeah, they are. Do you want to go take a nap?”
“Nah.. I’ll be fine I think.”
“Okay…” Maka went over and sat down next to him.
Soul dropped his head to the floor, watching her. “Babies are weird.”
Maka laughed. “Yeah, they are. Do you want to go take a nap?”
“Oh… uh… maybe try the teething ball?”
“I tried earlier…” He held it out to her again, “Want to chew on this?”
This time, Anna did end up chewing it and settled down a little. Maka sighed in relief.
The baby kept crying. After a few moments, Maka opened her door, “Everything okay?”
“Uh, we were playin’ blocks and then she knocked them over and she won’t stop crying now..”
“Oh… uh… maybe try the teething ball?”
Anna kept crying, not even seeing that.
Soul sighed, picking her up and trying to hand her a different toy, “Done with the blocks I guess.”
The baby kept crying. After a few moments, Maka opened her door, “Everything okay?”
